An investment for the future: The Waqf project This project consists of constructing a Waqf (perpetual endowment) building to generate a fixed and stable source of income. The main objective is to guarantee the financial autonomy and sustainability of educational infrastructures and charitable actions, putting an end to the exclusive reliance on repeated donations. Characteristics of the building The future income-generating building will cover a total area of 446 m² and will be located in the Moughataa of Riyadh, in Nouakchott South. The architecture of this three-level building has been designed to maximize rental yields: The ground floor: It will be largely dedicated to commerce with 5 shops, and will also include 1 residential apartment. The first floor: It will consist of 4 residential apartments. The second floor: It will also offer 4 residential apartments. What will the rental income be used for?The entirety of the monthly rents generated by these commercial and residential spaces will be directly allocated to financing vital and permanent needs:Sponsorship of orphans and students: Financing their housing, education, and meeting all their basic daily needs. Staff remuneration: Providing regular and decent salaries to teachers, imams, muezzins, and preachers, as well as the essential support staff required for the smooth running of the facilities (cooks, guards, secretaries, supervisors). Payment of current expenses: Covering the high water and electricity bills for the various facilities (mosques, schools, administration, student housing) to guarantee the continuity of basic services. Financing social projects: Financially supporting the distribution of meals for breaking the fast (Iftar), the distribution of food baskets, and direct aid to widows, migrants, and destitute families. Budget and direct impact The overall estimated cost for the construction work of this building is evaluated at $130,961 USD (which is approximately 40,000 Kuwaiti Dinars or 49,200,000 old Ouguiyas). Once completed, this structural project will support and impact between 6,000 and 7,000 beneficiaries every year. Investing in this construction represents a true "Sadaqah Jariyah" (continuous charity) that will continue to finance good deeds and bear fruit for generations to come
